The Ganivet Network started as a theater performance named ‘Ganivet- Kirjeita Satumaasta’.
It dealt with the book ‘Cartas Finlandesas’ of Spanish writer/ poet/ diplomat Angel Ganivet, Multiculturalism, Cognitive processes and Flamenco interpretation.
Spanish Flamenco dancer Andrés Marin interpreted a Finnish Tango and some of the finest Finnish Flamenco dancers gave their vision on Flamenco.
Two Dutch and a Polish artist were complementing the total through performance art and projected multi media.
Ramon Maronier composed the music for the live band.
Flamenco singer David Lagos and Piirpauke frontman Sakari Kukko were among the band members.
This project with partly different performers was performed two times more under the name ‘Encontrando Ganivet’.
During this process the idea was created for the Ganivet network.
